KOREN BEEF
Korean beef is ground beef simmered in a sweet and mildly spicy sauce. This recipe can easily be adapted to be Keto/low carb friendly. Use as a topping with any type of rice you like or use as a filling for a lettuce wrap. Top with green onions, radishes, pickled onions, sesame seeds or gochugaru.

- 1 lb ground beef lean
- ¼ cup Soy sauce, Tamari or Coconut aminos
- 2 tbsp Brown sugar, Swerve (brown sugar) or Monk fruit
- 1 tbsp Ginger
- 2 clove Garlic
- 1 tbsp Gojuchang omit for Keto and use red pepper flakes
- 1 tbsp Sesame oil
- Radish, Green onions, Gochugaru, pickled onions, sesame seeds optional toppings
Whisk all ingredients, except beef, in a small bowl and set aside.
In a skillet (preferably cast iron) sauté ground beef until cooked through. Drain excess liquid, if any.
Add sauce to ground beef and simmer for 5-10 minutes.
