PICKLED ONIONS

Make your own pickled onions at home. These are a wonderful topping for tacos, burrito bowls, salads and with Korean beef

Ingredients
  

  • ½ large Red onion sliced thin
  • ½ cup Apple cider vinegar
  • ½ cup Water
  • 1 tbsp Maple syrup
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Red pepper flakes

Instructions
 

  • In a small saucepan simmer all ingredients except onion. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Add sliced onions to a small glass jar like a mason jar and add liquid form saucepan. Using a spoon mash onion down into liquid so it is fully covered. Refrigerate for 30 minutes
