The mojito is a refreshing and herbaceous cocktail made with white rum, sugar, mint, lime and club soda. This can be made low carb if you are following a keto/low carb diet. Adding fruit purees make different varieties of mojitos.
Add mint leaves, lime juice and lime to the bottom of a glass
Using a muddler or the handle of a wooden spoon smash (muddle) the ingredients for a minute to release the flavors.
Add rum, simple syrup, fruit puree (if using) and club soda. Mix well. Top with ice
Notes
To make a Raspberry, Blackberry or Blueberry mojito puree the fruit in a food processor with a small amount of water and add to glass. Strain the seeds before adding if necessary.
