Your house will smell absolutely scrumptious while this white chocolate chip pumpkin bread is baking in the oven. Seriously, it’s the best air freshener ever! And its hands down the best pumpkin bread recipe I’ve ever made. Yep, I’m tootin’ my own horn on this one.
The white chocolate chips melt away inside the bread and create this decadent sweetness that will have you craving more than just one piece. Trust me when I say that this bread is highly addictive. The first loaf only lasted 3 days between my husband and I. No worries though because I made another one a couple of days later.
I think a slice of pumpkin bread with white chocolate chips is perfect for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert or as a snack. OK, I may have gone overboard there, or did I? Go ahead and make this bread for yourself and find out! Perhaps add some extra time in the gym just to balance it out.
You can also give my CHOCOLATE CHIP BANANA BREAD or BLUEBERRY BREAD a try. They are both quite excellent as well.

Ingredients
- Butter
- Sugar
- Eggs
- Vanilla
- Flour
- Baking soda
- Baking powder
- Pumpkin pie spice
- Pumpkin puree
- Salt
- White chocolate chips
Make sure the butter and eggs are at room temperature. That will make it easier to mix. Also, be sure to buy the pumpkin puree and not the pumpkin pie filling.
A traditional loaf pan is needed to make a proper loaf of pumpkin bread, click HERE for the ones I use. This pan is also perfect for meatloaf or cakes.
If you can’t find pumpkin pie spice in the grocery store, then just make your own! Mix these ingredients together and use 2 tsp in the recipe then store the remaining spice blend in an airtight container for future use.
Pumpkin pie spice recipe
2 teaspoon | Ground Cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon | Ground Ginger |
1/2 teaspoon | Ground Nutmeg |
1/4 teaspoon | Ground Cloves |

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare loaf pan by spreading a small amount of butter on the bottom and sides. Sprinkle a spoonful of flour inside the loaf pan and spread it to all inside surfaces while tapping the excess flour into the garbage. This keeps the bread from sticking in the pan.
- Add the dry ingredients to a medium sized bowl, mix well and set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar with either a stand mixer or hand mixer. Add the eggs (1 at a time) and vanilla and mix until smooth. Add the pumpkin puree and blend until well combined.
- Slowly add the dry ingredients and mix well. Add the water if the batter is too dry.
- Fold the white chocolate chips into the batter and pour batter into loaf pan.
- Bake for 1 hour and 10-15 minutes.
- Let rest in loaf pan for 5 minutes and then remove and allow to cool on a rack for 15 minutes.
* The bread is ready to come out of the oven when a knife inserted into the center comes out clean and with no wet batter on it.
Disclaimer: This pumpkin bread with white chocolate chips is very moist and will fall apart if you cut it while it’s still warm. I know this because I can never wait for it to cool completely.
